Welcome! My name is Jens Rohde. I’m a bit of a geek. Computers for a living, photography, folk music, model railways and gardening as a hobby. I live in Denmark, close to a town called Østbirk (East Birch).

This site is dedicated to photography. To be more precise, this is where I post my photographic sketches (hence the name of the site).

So don’t expect this to be a portfolio. There will be all kind of photographs: Some more planned and edited from my walkabouts with the camera, small improvised setups from my desk with LEGO or figures from model railroads (not all Zoom meetings are equally engaging). Other days it could be a new piece of pottery my wife has made, or some interesting light on the wall. In short, no firm plans. Things will be shot with my Fujifilm cameras, my trusted old Nikon D200 (from 2007) or the phone, and it will be color or black-and-white as I see fit.

Together with Helle, I also have the site rohde.dk (in Danish). We just killed the old version, and not much has been written as of now. That may or may not change over time :)
